You can toggle it on and off anytime by holding down the Windows key and then pressing Enter. If you are using a Windows PC you are probably aware that it includes a built-in screen reader called Narrator. If you find this to be the case, there are two ways to switch to other, more human-sounding voices you may already be using with your other screen readers or mobile devices. eSpeak is an extremely responsive speech engine, but some users find it too robotic and artificial sounding to listen to for any length of time. NVDA comes with the eSpeak speech synthesizer preinstalled.
